OK - now you're hooked on the idea of a gas
refrigerator. But, you don't like the idea of paying
$2,000 for a new one, and you're not sure they're as
reliable as the old Servel's, so you want a vintage one
instead (besides, the old Servel's are NEAT looking!).
So - where do you look?
I recommend checking out the folks on
our Parts
& Service Page - they are
most likely well aware of what is available in their
respective areas, and are also trained to know what is a
real value and what is not.
I recommend searching Craigslist
using one of the search sites dedicated to that task,
such as SearchTempest , SearchCraigsList , AdHunter , StateWideList , and others. I
like SearchTempest
because you can customize it to search
in as far a distance from your location as you would
like. Some of the other ones can be customized, too.
For a long time, I posted pictures
and links to ad's offering Servel's for sale. This was
before SearchTempest became
available, and all we had was crazedlist. Now, with SearchTempest and other
sites like it, which are as simple as pie to operate, I
am dropping posting the listings here, as it is a time
thief.
SO - go to SearchTempest or the search
site of your choice, type in "Servel" or "gas
refrigerator" Zip Code and how far you're willing to
drive, and HAPPY HUNTING!
